Cadavres Exquis, solo show at Diesel Art gallery

"Individuality is not here, fence, theatre, overtaking, victory; it is simply difference, refracted, without privilege, from body to body." — Roland Barthes

Diesel Art Gallery I curator: Kimiko Woo I Tokyo, 2009

Uninterrupted movement: the city’s residents’ catwalk. Random streets, random individuals, Tokyo draws a catalogue in permanent evolution, a notebook in numerous tendencies, a never finished silhouette.

This game of chance reminds me of the one played by the surrealists in their time: the exquisite corps.
From pieces of sentences written by several persons, they composed blindly a new text with an unpredictable sense; an unpredictable association of several known pieces creating a new unknown.
